Learn how to prioritize strategies and create actionable plans based on consensus.
Join the Roundtable of St. Lucie County on Thursday, August 28th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the IRSC Training Center, 4600 Kirby Loop Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981, Classroom #219 located on the second floor. The facility is equipped with an elevator.
Training Provided:
- ToP Focused Conversation® : Provides a context for meaningful communication. It is used to facilitate group discussions, which allow members to share diverse perspectives in a productive and non-confrontational way.
- ToP Consensus Workshop® : Facilitates group consensus-building decisions that respect the diversity of perspectives which the group and inspire individual action and move the group towards join resolve and action.
- ToP Action Planning* ® : Used to plan an event or project. This process clarifies and delineates the task and aligns the creativity, capabilities, interests and resources of the group. the group decides necessary actions, roles and responsibilities. The process builds trust, support, enthusiasm, and consensus.
- Opportunity Matrix: Used to evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on specific criteria to help decide where to focus resources for the best return.

Each participant will be given followup coaching to insure that they are able to conduct the Action Planning Process within their own networks to plan their strategies that are determined in the Opportunity Matrix.
This training is from the Institute of Cultural Affairs, Technology of Participation Training delivered by Laurie Dougherty, Dougherty, Inc. Facilitation and Training. Laurie Dougherty is a Certified Facilitator in ToP Methods as well as a Mentor Trainer.
Note: In order to earn a certificate of attendance the participants must attend both parts of the training and confirm that they have an understanding and are capable of using the Focused Conversation, Consensus Workshop and Action Planning.
